In the last 50 years, a lot has changed in the fitness world. People now do extensive core work and P90x is the newest craze. There are many home machines available, but most end up being expensive clothes hangers to air dry your laundry.
There are high carb diets, low carb, Atkins, South Beach, the Zone, Cookie Diet, paleo diet, the Hollywood diet; all of them have come and gone in the last few years.
All of these are trends - something new for people to get excited about and follow blindly after they purchase them. It seems like there is always something new to follow and many people try it. Each one of these programs/diets promises to be the be- all-end-all and the one thing you have been looking for your whole life! The PERFECT way to get in shape. When it doesn't work, most of the time people end up back at square one. Even worse, sometimes they end up looking worse than when they started ... the dreaded yo-yo diet!
People in shape already know the secret these people are looking for: there are no gimmicks and no tricks. It's about finding what works for you and putting in the work to get what you want.
So, whats the real secret? Eating right and getting active. That's it. Seems easy, right?
There is no magic pill, no exotic fruit, no special machine that will make your abs pop out in a week, no fancy systems, absolutely nothing new. Just plain hard work.
Our bodies were made to be used and to move on a daily basis! We are not to sit all day, eat bad foods because they taste good, then do a 6 minute ab workout and say we are doing our best to get in shape.
You have to get down and dirty for 60 minutes every day! Yes PER DAY! Some may need more, some may need less. Your body is an amazing machine made to be used daily and not abused for fun. Respect your body and you will look and feel amazing!
You HAVE to stop eating the fast foods, the processed garbage. If you had a $400,000 car, would you put in regular gas ... or the best gas you could possibly get? Your body is worth MORE than that car, so why not get the most from it?
The bottom line is, forget the fads that come and go, and get to work on YOU. In the end, you will smile when you look in the mirror and see that healthy person grinning back at you.
